Many families found in Colonial New York and New Jersey at the time of the American Revolution had members who remained Loyal to the British Crown. And many of them settled in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia at the end of the war. Tracing descendants and searching for ancestors in Canada can be a challenging experience for us living in the U. S.
