The records of the Reformed Dutch Congregations of Freehold and Middletown, New Jersey, continue in the Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey with volume 36 (1961). This volume contains marriages from 1782 to 1818, and then communicants from 1764 to 1815.

John Holsart/Holshart/Hulshart was born and baptized in 1759 at Freehold, New Jersey. He was a son of Pieter Hulsaart and Willaimpe Hanse. John was married to Mary Polhemus and had three daughters born between 1788 and 1792. He served during the Revolutionary War and lived in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
