Part II of "Church Records" from the William B. Bogardus Collection will consist of files for which the source was some work of Arthur C. M. Kelly and published by Kinship. For a brief background on Arthur C. M. Kelly and Kinship please see Part I of this set of files. Many, if not all of the titles can also be located in a search of the Family History Library catalog.

Starting at the left and reading to the right, the first column is the date of the baptism (4-22-1769); the second column is the name of the parents (Joseph Koen, Neeltje Brouwer); the third column is the number of the baptism record and the name of the child (407 Joseph); the fourth column is the name of the witnesses (or sponsors) for the baptism (Johannes Dinckelbach & Catharina Milius, wife).

Unfortunately, all of the links mentioned in the article cannot be loaded because "can't establish a secure connection to the server..." After some digging it looks like the domain changed from freepages.genealogy.rootweb.ancestry.com to rootsweb.com. Editing to this root http address seems to fix the issue and I can access the linked images.
ReplyDeleteYup. That seems to work. So people, simply replace freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com with rootsweb.com in the URL and you should be able to access the pages. I will not be replacing the pages themselves by posting them to a new location. Alternatively, I'd suggest seeking out the complete original sources themselves, i.e. the volumes published by Arthur C.M. Kelly. Making the effort to do this will provide you with data on related families and on other families within the congregation to which the Brouwer family of interest belongs. Researching related and closely associated families to your targeted family can often help solve genealogical "brick walls."
DeleteThank you for your suggested fix.
